This was taken over Memorial Day weekend in 1992. My friend Travis and I went hiking in the Sierra Mountains in California. Our plan was to hike into one of the alpine lakes to fish. When we found out the lakes were still frozen we decided to fish the streams. I am holding a brook trout that is maybe the width of my hand. The colors on these tiny fish were incredible.

Too bad we didn't get a good look at all the colors, you sure do look young.... :D
